Accessibility Statement
This accessibility statement applies to Submit a National Security and Investment notification website.
This website is run by the Cabinet Office. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen and without content being truncated or overlapping
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We have also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
If you are using assistive technologies (AT) to navigate the website, you will find that some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
- In some places AT users may not be presented with the labels identifying the controls in a form or with the instructions that describe what input data is expected.
- There is functionality within some website pages where content is not operable through a keyboard interface.
- In a few places labels are not programmatically associated with the corresponding component.
- Information, structure and relationships in some webpages are conveyed through presentations which are not programmatically determined or available in text headings and form groups.
- Where an input error is automatically detected, in some webpages the item that is in error is not clearly identified and the error is not clearly described to the user in text.
- There are some unexpected changes in context as a result of a time limit.
- Some content cannot be magnified without loss of information or functionality and without scrolling in two dimensions.
- Some labels do not sufficiently describe the topic or purpose of the content.
